TVS Motor Company announced a 14 percent increase in sales in July 2022. The Chennai-based manufacturer has managed to sell 2.99 lakh motorcycles and scooters in India and abroad, compared to the 2.62 lakh it registered in the same month last year.

Now, out of that total, TVS sales in India were 2.01 lakh last month; A 15% increase from July 2021, when the manufacturer managed to sell 1.75 lakh two-wheelers. Meanwhile, exports rose 12% from 87,559 units last July to 97,716 units sold abroad last month.

That said, motorcycles saw an 8 percent increase in sales. TVS recorded motorcycle sales for 1.50 lakh in July ’22, while it sold 1.38 lakh in the same month in 2021. On the other hand, scooter sales rose 49 percent last month. TVS sold 1.10 lakh units compared to 73,811 units sold in July 2021. Last month, the manufacturer also introduced the Ronin 225, a scrambler-style motorcycle that competes with the Yamaha FZ-X and the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
