It cannot be denied idly is one of the most popular South Indian dishes. Light, soft and fluffy idlis are enough to fill you up for a long time. Put it in sambhar or eat it with chutney, you can never go wrong. Now the startup has installed an automated one idly– Making a machine in Bengaluru to deliver them fresh in minutes. A video about it appeared on Twitter.
The machine is made by Freshup Robotics, a startup founded by Bengaluru-based entrepreneurs Sharan Hiremat and Suresh Chandrashekaran. The 24X7 The machine is installed at Freshot and reports that it can dispense 72 idlis in just 12 minutes Economic Times. The machine also delivers sides like podi and chutney.
The process is simple, just scan the QR code to get the menu as shown in the video, order and pay. Idlis are delivered fresh and packed in about 55 seconds.

Mr. Hiremat came up with the idea in 2016 after his daughter fell ill and he could not reheat idlis at night. He told the Deccan Herald, “The only way to have constant access to such food was to create an automatic machine.”
It is reported to be the first automated cooking and dispensing machine for South Indian breakfast. As of now this ATM is available at two locations in Bengaluru and they are planning to expand it to other major hubs.
The founders will add other ATMs, including Dosabots, ricebots, and juicebots.
