We are on the verge of SPOOKY season and have a couple of horror movies coming out to put you in the mood. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on must-see streaming services.

Honestly, this might be one of the hottest weekend lists we’ve had all month. Whether you want to stay home and watch a movie or go to the cinema and watch one, there’s a wide range of options – there’s no better time for fall movies.

Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today

  • siblings, (Theaters)
  • Smile, (Theaters)
  • Biggest beer run ever, (Apple TV +)
  • Hocus Pocus 2, (Disney +)
  • The exorcism of my best friend, (Main video)

Curiosity about Smile, the film was supposed to arrive in streaming / VOD by the time of its release. However, after the test screening of the film, the scores were so high that it pushed the film into theaters. This should get us all excited about this movie because it’s a HUGE change, especially in this day and age with streaming.

I’m sure you are like me and you are TERRIFIED by trying to reconnect with one of our favorite movies as a kid in Hocus Pocus 2. The original is such a perfect film, it scares me that they can tarnish the legacy with a bad following. That said, the trailer looks pretty good in the way the Sanderson sisters are reporting. So, if the movie matches the trailer, we could be in another nostalgic spin.

For the rest of the list, The biggest beer race ever featuring Zac Efron about a guy who brought beer to his friends in the middle of the war will be out this weekend. It comes from the writer and director of Green Book. It will be interesting to see how Efron has a more serious role style.

What will you watch this weekend? Will you like a movie in the cinema or in streaming?
