Including loads of spooky movies added for October!

Looking for a movie to watch? We’ve put together this list of 100 movies that are all less than 100 minutes long.

But if you’ve already checked them all, then maybe you’ll find something interesting in the 30 great movies Netflix just added to its library, starting with …

THE 5th WAVE

Chloe Grace Moretz stars in this YA adaptation that she hoped to be the next Hunger Games. 16% on rotten tomatoes. You will notice that there has never been a sixth wave movie.

I ARRIVE

One of the best science fiction films ever made, with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner attempting to make contact with a fleet of mysterious ships that have appeared all over the planet.

THE DICTATOR

Sasha Baron Cohen went from reality comedy to scripted comedy. It did not work.

THE FINAL DESTINATION

The confusingly titled fourth entry in the predicted death series, this one based on a massive car race accident.

ON FOOT

The 2011 remake of the 1984 original. It’s actually pretty good.

FRIDAY 13

The 2009 remake of the 1980 original. It’s actually pretty bad.

GOOSE SKIN / GOOSE SKIN 2

Jack Black is ahead of the first, it’s perfectly fun. He only makes a brief cameo in the second, and he’s about half as good.

HALLOWEEN II

The sequel to the 2009 remake, not the original 1981 sequel (this is getting confusing). Rob Zombie writes and directs this. It is very violent. But it’s not very good.

HELP

Jodie Comer and Stephen Graham star in this tense drama about a health care worker and patient whose life has been turned upside down by the arrival of Covid-19.

HOOK

Spielberg directs Robin Williams as a much older Peter Pan, while Dustin Hoffman steals every scene he finds himself in as an OTT Captain Hook.

SPRINGS OF HOPE

Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carrell star in this cute romantic comedy.

I, FRANKENSTEIN

What if Frankenstein was sexy and had a six-pack? That’s the question posed by this terrifying action-horror led by Aaron Eckhart.

THE KARATE KID / PART II / PART III / THE NEXT KARATE KID / THE KARATE KID

All of them. The three originals. The reboot of Hilary Swank. And the remake of Jaden Smith. They are all here!

HOUSE OF MONSTERS

A very nice spooky movie for the whole family.

MR. BEAN HOLIDAY

10 years after Bean was a huge box office hit, this very mediocre sequel was also a huge hit among Rowan Atkinson fans.

THE NETWORK

Before anyone really understood what the internet really was, Sandra Bullock starred in this thriller about a systems analyst who has his life turned upside down when he stumbles upon something online that he probably shouldn’t have seen.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 & 3

These are two of the best voices in the PA series, before it went by the wayside.

SMALL

An Irish roadside comedy drama, with House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke on the run with two best friends (Ben Hardy, Daryl McCormack) after a robbery gone awry. Colm Meaney and Alec Baldwin are also co-stars.

PRIMARY FEAR

Richard Gere and a young Edward Norton star in this gripping legal thriller.

TO SING

A truly impressive vocal cast fills the ranks in this incredibly captivating animated musical comedy.

SLEEP EMPTY

Tim Burton directs Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci in this old-school horror about a town seemingly haunted by a headless horseman.

SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON

A pretty good movie about a horse (inner monologue voiced by Matt Damon) and his life set during the American Indian wars.

SPY KIDS 2: THE ISLAND OF LOST DREAMS

Ambiguous title aside, this is actually pretty good (75% on Rotten Tomatoes) if you’re looking for something to distract younger viewers for around 100 minutes.

YEAR ONE

This Jack Black and Michael Cera film was the last film directed by Harold Ramis (of Groundhog Day, Caddyshack and National Lampoon’s Vacation). Better watch one of his other films instead.
