A master plan is being developed NelamangalaDoddaballapur, Devanahalli
Nelamangala, Doddaballapur and Devanahalli will become satellite towns. Bangalore soon. Prime Minister Basavaraj Bommai “Work on new townships for Kolar and Chikkaballapur has already started and we have decided to develop Nelamangala, Doddaballapur and Devanahalli as satellite towns. The future of Bengaluru lies in these three places and they will develop as mega cities with all the amenities. “A master plan will be drawn up for the comprehensive development of these three towns.”
Due to the construction of Nelamangala Expressway, it has become easier to reach Nelamangala. This six-lane access controlled road, along with a four-lane free service road, has made commuting between the province and other parts of the city smoother. As a result, many people migrate there and to its outskirts Sondekoppa Road So they can easily return to the city for work.
Metro network is an added advantage. The network is currently running out Nagasandra, but the second phase of the line is being extended to BIEC. There are proposals to extend the line beyond BIE, meaning that people staying in and around Nelamangala can go to BIEC to board the metro connecting different parts of the city.
It is also blessed with several connecting roads like Nelamangala Hasan road, Tumakuru Road, Airport Road (via Madhur) and NICE Road. Many people living in the heart of Bengaluru are moving there to settle down in comfortable houses away from the city traffic. A number of industries located in and around the region also pave the way for an employment boom.
