Local vendors will be selling nature-inspired and upcycled oracles and antiques at the Red Chevron
Want to shop this weekend while getting in a spooky mood?
Local artisans Breila von Holstein-Rathlou of Burnt Toast Creations and Jenna McCarthy of Too Old Too Cold have teamed up to bring the Devil’s Night Market to Guelph, with more than 18 vendors selling crafty oddities.
“It’s aimed at unique people, and Guelph is full of them,” von Holstein-Rathlou said in an email.
“We’ll have some great entomology artists, our local antique dealers, costume designers, and lots of things off the beaten path, and especially weird in the spirit of Halloween.”
She said that they also want to bring to light artists who “would not always have the opportunity to be seen, amazing creative people who have a passion for their work”.
Costumes are encouraged, as there will be a photo booth and costume contest. The winner will receive a market gift bag.
The market runs from 1 pm to 6 pm at The Red Chevron on 34 Elizabeth St., on October 30.
