The holidays are upon us, starting Friday, October 21, and this year there are more places than ever to find content. In addition to Hallmark, Lifetime, Great American Family and UpTV, this year it features original vacation movies on BET +, Discovery +, CBS, Netflix, OWN, Hulu and ION, among others.

Hallmark, which includes both the Hallmark Channel and Movies & Mysteries, leads the group this year with 40 new films and brings back the tradition of holiday movies airing 24 hours a day, seven days a week starting on Friday. For the first time, the network has a Christmas movie with an LGBTQ couple at the center of “The Holiday Sitter”, starring Jonathan Bennett and George Krissa.

The Lifetime roster, which debuts November 5, includes many reunions: “Grey’s Anatomy” stars Sarah Drew and Justin Bruening are back together in “Reindeer Games Homecoming”, while “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, “co-stars Joe Lando and Jane Seymour reunite for” A Christmas Spark “.

Great American Family, under the eye of former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott, will launch 18 films this year, including one starring Candace Cameron Bure as both the lead and executive producer. Paul Greene, Daniel Lissing, Merritt Patterson, Jill Wagner, Cameron Mathison, Jen Lilley, Danica McKellar and Neal Bledsoe will all appear on the network.

UpTV is behind Great American Family with 17 originals, while BET + streaming services have 10. Netflix, HBO Max, Discovery + and VH1 have four original movies, each. CBS will air three originals while Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Fox Nation, Amazon Freevee, Roku, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Disney +, Bounce, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, ION and NBC each have one.
